Start early: Since you would have to study a vast syllabus, it is important that you start preparing as early as possible. Preparation should begin from 11th standard itself. Remember, apart from reading books, you will also need time to conduct revisions, solve question papers and do mock tests. So if you master the topics early, you will find it easy to crack the exam.
Clear all your doubts: If you find any particular concept hard to understand then it is imperative that you immediately reach out to your teacher or your friend to get your query resolved. This will help you study the topic in a better way.
Keep a copy of JEE syllabus in hand: Read the syllabus thoroughly to get an understanding of the subjects, chapters, and topics you will have to study. Getting an overview will help you develop a good preparation strategy.
Make use of free study materials: Nowadays, you will find a lot of free study materials both online and offline. You can make use of such materials to crack IIT without any coaching. You can listen to video lectures, read books, and listen to podcasts to get a better understanding of the subjects. Reading NCERT books is also a great way to prepare well for this exam.
